In case you haven't heard, central Ohio has a bed bug problem.  These nasty little creatures can be brought home in lots of different ways.  They can be brought to school unknowingly in children's backpacks, they can be found in theatre seats, in hotels and many other public places.

So what do you do if you find them?  Although there are some over-the-counter insecticides that may be effective, the best thing to do is hire a professional exterminator.  The Better Business Bureau recommends doing some research before hiring such as:

  • Checking for sufficient training
  • Check for the proper licensing
  • Read the contract carefully--check for warranties
  • Get more than one quote
  • Make sure they will do a follow up

The good news is that with the work of a good exterminator you can get rid of the bed bugs. Just be prepared to do a little work before hand for the best outcome.
