Last Sunday, in the Columbus Dispatch, there was an article about Home Performance Solutions from Columbia Gas of Ohio.  The article stated that for $50 ($20 for income-eligible customers) a trained Home Energy Auditor will come to your home and analyze ways to make your home more energy efficient.  They use the following techniques:

-A blower door to locate and measure air leaks

-A combustion efficiency analyzer, to check water heaters and furnaces for safety and efficiency

-Infrared photography to locate leaks and inadequate insulation levels

I called their number, 877-644-6674, to set up an appointment.  They were very busy, but I did get through to set an appointment.  I am waiting to get my time and will then tell everyone my results.
