Good News for Columbus Buyers AND Sellers
by Erin LaBuda
If you haven't read the OAR e-notes, seen my Facebook post or run in to me in the past couple of weeks then you may have missed the great news coming out about Columbus real estate. According to Clear Capital's Home Data Index report, Columbus, OH is expected to be in the top 5 major US cities to see their home prices increase in 2011. All US cities are experiencing pricing stabilization in their individual markets...some are stabalizing in the downward direction whereas a few (Columbus included) are experiencing a sustained recovery and pricing increases. In fact, according to the report, we are expected to see a pricing increase somewhere in the ballpark of 2.1% in 2011.
Obviously, this is good for our home sellers in the sense that their valuations should be on the rise in most central Ohio communities. This is also a good trend for buyers because they are able to secure great interest rates and buy homes that are appreciating not continuing to lose value. Accross the board, this is very encouraging news!
