The Moment
by Jo-Anne LaBuda
As I watched the inaugeration of our new President, my heart filled with pride
for the great country we live in. During the inaugeration speech, President Obama said that he cannot face the great challenges ahead alone.
Home ownership has been affected by the financial crisis as much or more than
anything else. More important is how the American individual and families have
been devastated by the loss of their home, their "American Dream."
It is up to each of us as individuals, as business people and as businesses to
take up the banner set forth by our new President.
It is time for financial institutions to work with homeowners so that they can
stay in their homes.
It is time for employers and businesses to keep as many folks working as
possible.
It is a time for employees to work harder and longer for less.
It is a time for service industries to put forth true service to their clients and
customers.
It is time as Woody Hayes asked his OSU football team to "pay forward".
It is time to reach out to those that need help.
It is time to make an extra effort.
It is the time to be selfless, not selfish.
It is time for all of us to do the right thing.
We are living through a moment in history like no other. We have truly been
blessed. Share the blessing.
