Just north of downtown Columbus and the Arena District and South of the Ohio State University District lies arguably the trendiest part of the city. The Short North is the name given to the High Street commercial district made up of a mile-long stretch of shops, art galleries, restaurants, clubs, pubs and entertainment. Recently spotlighted in The New York Times and National Geographic Traveler, the area features restored turn-of-the-century architecture, picturesque "pocket parks" and glittering l arches that illuminate the street at night.
The mostly young professionals and empty nesters who tend to live in this area can choose from apartments, high profile condo developments or restored homes in neighboring Victorian and Italian Villages.
