We're happy to announce that the LaBuda Advantage Team was #1 in the Worthington School District in listings sold in 2007! We have earned this distinction for the past four years, but then again, we didn't start measuring it until 2004!
Last year, our team sold 37 properties in the Worthington School district for a total of $11,143,650. Our average home price in the area was $301,179.
Although we help clients buy and sell homes all over the Columbus area, we do admit to having a particular fondness for Worthingon. Many of our staff members live in this area and have children who have grown up attending the outstanding Worthington Schools. Worthington has the distinction of being the oldest town in Central Ohio, founded in 1803 well before Columbus, itself, by a group of Connecticut settlers. This heritage accounts for the New England-style village, with its quaint downtown, picturesque Village Green and charming residential streets.
Today, Worthington is a northern suburb of Columbus, easily accessible to downtown, The Ohio State University and the Port Columbus Airport. Despite this -- and the tremendous growth that has occurred there over the years -- it still maintains its friendly small-town feeling. This atmosphere is evident each Saturday morning in the spring, summer and fall months at the weekly Farmers' Market, which brings hundreds of residents to downtown Worthington for locally grown produce, meats, flowers and plants. Worthington residents range from young families to seniors and the homes in the area run the gamut from century-old bungalows in town to large homes in the newer subdivisions.
